What to expect
About the establishment
The luxurious Nkonyeni Lodge is fronted by the Usuthu River and features a 400-hectare game reserve that boasts diverse indigenous veld, rich varieties of game and prolific bird life. Essentially, you’ve got the bushveld in your backyard with plenty of opportunities to explore in nature.
The establishment lies near to Manzini. Manzini is one of two commercial hubs and can get quite busy on the weekends when families do their weekly shopping. Whatever you need, household goods, produce or clothing, you can get from the local markets.
The lodge itself offers seclusion and privacy to their guests, away from the inconveniences of the modern world while still providing assorted modern luxuries - WiFi and cell phone reception - to keep in touch with loved ones back home.
Your chalet is fronted by the river and surrounded by trees. You'll might also see wild animals walking about.
The rustic decor of the exterior juxtaposes with the contemporary interior furnishings - simplicity and tradition meet contemporary elegance.

From game watching to fishing, to stress-free days walking the nature trails and playing on the championship golf course, there are many activities that one can busy oneself with.
Other facilities include tennis and squash courts and a pool.
Nkonyeni Lodge is a great place to explore nearby regions, here’s our list of must-do activities:
River rafting on the Usuthu River - This is considered Swaziland’s ‘number one’ adventure activity for over 25 years, so if you’re up for a challenge and don’t scare easily, book a half or full day towering rapids in an inflatable two-man raft with an independent tour company.
Myxo’s Woza Nawe’s Cultural Day Tours in Manzani. Feel the Swazi way of life through traditional dances and learn the customs. Myxo or Bobo are your expert guides, they are knowledgeable and full of charisma.
Frequent the Manzini Local Market. The colourful stalls brim with fruit, vegetables, household goods and souvenirs.
Please note: the markets are very busy, so if you’ve got kids keep them close, they’ll be hard to find in a crowd.
Visit a new country, be exposed to a new culture and a way of life, be open-minded and make lifelong memories with your travel companion.
