It may be a bit of a drive to get there (47km), but you should definitely visit for a wine tasting or two. Recommended wineries include Niewedrift Vineyards and Org De Rac Domain. You can also learn about the history of the town at the Piketberg Cultural History Museum or play golf at De Hoek Golf Club.
Also a bit out of the way (48kms), but it’s certainly worth the trek. The popular town is home to the lovely Elands Bay Beach and the local eatery, The Tin Kitchen, which is located in a 300-year-old barn. Give their spectacular seafood a try.
