Eland Valley Resort, located in the scenic Southern Drakensberg in the Underberg area, is situated at the foot of the majestic Garden Castle. The 150-hectare resort is bordered by the Mzimkhulwana Nature Reserve (KZN Parks Board) and the Mlambonjwa River (a tributary of the Umzimkulu River).

The resort offers 14 modern self-catering log chalets in park-like surroundings. Eland Valley is the ideal getaway for the whole family, fishermen and nature lovers.

Eland Valley Resort’s facilities include trout fishing from our many stocked dams and river, a playground and a recreational centre with games rooms. Horse riding is available at Elands Rest Convenience Store, which is 1km away from us. 

There are scenic walks and hikes for both amateur and serious adventurers. Enjoy the many picnic and tubing spots along the sparkling river. Wildlife (eland, reedbok), guinea-fowl, wild duck and other birds abound in the resort. A golf course, convenience store and restaurants are available nearby.

Rustic log chalets- Self-catering accommodation

Each two-bedroomed chalets accommodate up to 6 persons (adults & children). They also have 1 bedroom chalets for couples. Choose to book a stay with you and your partner or take your family or friends. 

Chalets are fully furnished, and equipped with:

• TV included for those cosy nights in.
• A cleaner comes in daily so your stay is as carefree as possible.
• Guests need only bring towels, toiletries and soap, food and beverages.
• Braai areas are available.
• A gas cylinder can be hired for a gas heater to make it even cosier!
