Kuleni offers a unique safari experience, where driving around the park isn’t permitted. Traverse the region on foot and get up close and personal with a variety of flora and fauna, including zebras, giraffes, warthog, birds and so much more.
Lazuli Bush Lodge offers four free-standing bedroom suites named Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Citrine and Tree Agate, which are connected to the main lodge by boardwalks. All four of the suites have wooden floors and wooden walls interspersed with large glass sections that slide open, through which guests can admire the natural surrounds. The Amethyst and Rose Quartz rooms have king-size beds, while the Citrine and Tree Agate rooms have twin beds. All bedroom suites are air-conditioned, have dressing areas, open bathrooms with luxurious baths and vanities, separate toilets, outside showers, sitting areas with comfortable sofas and tea and coffee facilities, writing desks and private decks.
At the main lodge, guests are able to enjoy a fully fitted farmhouse-style kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge and communal area. There is a fireplace for warmth and special ambience on cool evenings, while in warm weather, guests can make use of the outdoor patio with a dining area and an ice-making machine next to the private swimming pool. For guests’ entertainment, there is DStv (satellite television), a DVD/CD player and VCR. Best of all is the nearby waterhole where guests can marvel at the wildlife as they gather to quench their thirst.
The indigenous sand forest is the natural habitat of many game species, including timid bushbuck, zebra, nyala, giraffe and nocturnal creatures, such as tree-dwelling bush babies. Small creatures, such as frogs abound too. During the day, the treetops are home to a rich birdlife, with more than 140 species breeding here.
