Everyone LOVES a deal, and they love to SEE what they are buying even more! As a digital marketing platform we know that customers buy with their eyes – be it on the website, email, or social media.
Here are some guidelines you can use to ensure we get the best possible images onto your deal:
- The minimum size of your images needs to be 1000x608px – what does this mean? PX or pixel refers to the small ’tiles” that make up your picture. Below is the MINIMUM size we require. If your images are bigger than this no problem – our team can adjust accordingly. TIP: it is better to have a bigger image so that we can reduce size, versus a smaller image – smaller images mean we need to stretch the photo to fit our dimensions, which could make the picture look blurry.
- Authenticity is key! Generic images look great, but savvy online shoppers are far more interested in what they are really going to experience. Rather invest in a select few photos that feature real customers and interiors / services.
- We would recommend a minimum of 3-5 images – we do have an image gallery and customers love to scroll to see more
- Please provide us with filter free images.
- Lighting is everything – even a 5 star establishment could be compromised by dark interiors and bad lighting.
- Images sent via Whatsapp can be quality-compromised. Please rather send your photos via email / Wetransfer / Dropbox
- The deal page requires LANDSCAPE images, not portrait. Most people take pics with their phone, so we understand that landscape isn’t always the preferred angle.
- Please ensure that we have permission to use the supplied photos – if there are any copyright / limits on usage, or where credit needs to be given these details need to be provided. This relates especially to usage of generics and photos supplied by individuals e.g. on social pages etc.
- Imagery featuring private individuals and especially children require an official release for usage. This would especially relate to photography merchants, and also instances where people are included in imagery found on social media channels.
- Images should be representative of the deal our customer is purchasing with special notes for:
- ACCOMMODATION / TRAVEL: common / public areas | activity areas | images of rooms that are relevant to the offer | food imagery where relevant | destination-related imagery | views / location-based draw cards
- BEAUTY & SPA: all treatment areas | real-life examples of treatments where suitable (nails / hair)
- FOOD & DRINK: please provide images of the relevant menu items being featured in the offer; please avoid generics
