No scuba diving qualification is necessary to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience. With White Shark Divers, you have the opportunity to view and cage dive with Great Whites and/or Coppersharks! Great white sharks can be viewed all year round, however, the best time to visit would be in the colder months. Water temperatures increase during winter, making this a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai:

Your shark diving trip starts in Kleinbaai, just a few minutes’ drive out of Gansbaai.

What can you expect:

• In the early morning, you will arrive at your shark operator’s crew house and enjoy breakfast on location whilst listening to the dive briefing.
• Choose your wetsuit and other gear to be loaded onto the boat before walking down to the jetty, ready to depart.
• The boat, which is operated by qualified and competent crew members, including a skipper, divemaster, and deckhand, sets off on a twenty-minute journey before anchoring the famous Shark Alley.
• The crew members are also trained in skills such as firefighting and medical emergencies so, rest assured, you will be in safe hands.
