About Gibaland
Found just 30 minutes from Durban center, Gibaland feels like it could be hours away from the nearest city. Although it houses a campsite too, what’s really unique about this place is the village of 5 teepees available for hire. Glamping takes on a new meaning here!

The Teepees
Gibaland is home to 5 teepees that are placed around a central firepit – perfect for evenings spent under the stars toasting marshmallows and enjoying good company. Each teepee sleeps 2 – 4 people comfortably.
There are no self-catering facilities, but dinner and breakfast are available at R220 per adult and R165 per child. Dinner is a home cooked meal, while breakfast can be ordered from Cafe Umfula, the charming little eatery located on the premises.
Activities
Located in the beautiful Giba gorge, there is a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities to keep you busy during your stay.
Horse riding. Whether you’re an experienced rider or somewhat of a novice, the trained guides will make sure you feel comfortable and safe while exploring this beautiful region on horseback.
Mountain Biking. There is a wide variety of trials catering to all sorts of riders and preferences.
Hiking. Take a walk up to one of the many beautiful waterfalls that can be found throughout the Giba Gorge Conservancy. Make sure to bring your cozzie for a swim or a splash when you reach your destination!
