We start off our journey at one of my personal favourites, Bobo’s. Located on the picturesque Two Oceans beach road, enjoy all of your favourite Continental cuisines at Bobos.

Classics like escargot, steak frites, and bouillabaisse can be anticipated, each dish thoughtfully prepared to highlight the quality of the ingredients.  The ambience is lovely, warm & welcoming and the interior creates the perfect mood throughout the day.

The 50-seat urban diner features an African-inspired menu (and décor) with a Japanese aesthetic throughout, creating a totally alluring (and wonderful) fusion of tastes, flavours, textures, and styles.

The menu, a condensed five-course kaiseki experience, draws inspiration from FYN’s bustling innercity and features some of the most intriguing wine pairings.

5. ëlgr

The creation of 28-year-old chef Jesper Nilsson,  ëlgr combines his love of South African vegetables and wine with his Nordic heritage. He has lived there since he was a teenager.

Drawing inspiration from simple Scandinavian architecture,  ëlgr pulls back from the bustle of Kloof Street to a courtyard full of plants.

It is appropriately outfitted in a calming palette of charcoal, black, and bursts of sage green. Dishes arrive at the table in an easy-going procession that is both thrilling and designed for sharing.
