MARLOTH PARK: 

Marloth Park is a 3,000-acre wildlife reserve between Malelane and Komatipoort in Mpumalanga, on the southern edge of the Kruger National Park. The park is a popular stop for travellers journeying to Mozambique, Swaziland, and the Kruger National Park.

Marloth Park’s humid subtropical environment – mild winters and balmy summers – make it a year-round holiday destination. Despite the park’s lack of infrastructure, you can still find the necessities there, such as a range of eateries, two shops, a gas station, a hardware store, and a bottle store.

Marloth Park is home to four of the Big 5! The park itself has no elephants. However, they are frequently spotted splashing around in the Crocodile River, which separates Marloth Park from the Kruger National Park. Lionspruit, a distinct game reserve within Marloth Park, is home to rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard. Other animals including kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, baboons, bushbuck, vervet monkeys, nyala, impala, warthog, and ostrich pass through the reserve. The absence of fences encourages visitors to explore Marloth Park at their own pace on bicycles, self-drives, and bush walks.
