With Silver Cloud Game Lodge being situated so close to Bela Bela, there are many outdoor attractions to keep guests busy and, most importantly, happy!
About your stay:
The small town, which directly translated from Twane means “boiling-boiling,” is named after the natural hot springs that were discovered in the early 1800s. Today, the springs are still active and remain Bela Bela’s number one attraction. Thousands of tourists flock to the spring to reap the health benefits of the minerals found in the water, as well as to bask in luxury the resorts of Bela Bela provide.
Hot springs aside, there are plenty of other reasons to holiday here. In recent years, the area has become an adventure hub of sorts. Ziplining is hugely popular, as are hot air ballooning, quad biking, and river rafting. Don’t miss out if you have a thrill from extreme sports!
The region is a paradise for nature lovers. There are many reserves boasting lots of game and birdlife, which you can see on game drives or bush walks with qualified guides.
Silver Cloud Lodge is situated just an hour from this happening town, so use it as your base from where you can explore. Not only is it conveniently close to the best attractions, the lodge is also the perfect, relaxing retreat for a family holiday in the bush.
Lounge around the pool with drinks, set out on your complimentary guided bush walk spotting a wide variety of wildlife, enjoy authentic African food at the in-house restaurant or with a braai under the stars, or marvel at striking sunsets during golden hour.
Dining options at Silver Cloud Game Lodge:
The Silver Cloud restaurant is known for its unique open view of the African sky. Come and enjoy excellent South African cuisine whilst enjoying the view. Their floodlit waterhole often sees wildlife approach for a drink of water.
Situated next to the restaurant, the Ladies Bar is fully licensed with an accompanying lounge and outside terrace. Expect a vibrant ambiance, with a richly decorated interior and an enticing fireplace.
There is also a traditional African boma close to the lodge in the surrounding bushveld. The boma is the ideal setting for relaxing and toasting to an authentic African ambiance. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable family holiday in the Waterberg!
