A Kayak Adventure in Hout Bay for 1 Person

Take your family to Hout Bay for a tour of False Bay with Kayak Adventures, or surprise your partner with an active couples’ day date out on the water.

No experience is required – all you need is a sense of adventure. Paddles will only commence at low tide when the waters are calm and flat, plus an experienced guide will accompany you. Before paddling out, you will be required to attend a short training session and sign a waiver form.

You’re likely to see a host of marine life, notably dolphins, sunfish, penguins, and whales if you’re lucky. Rest assured; you’ll never again be so close to the animals as you will on this tour – have your camera at the ready!

You will get wet while kayaking! Be sure to pack warm clothes – a jacket or warm top, spare clothes to change into afterward, a swimming costume, and a towel. Motion sickness tablets are recommended for those without sea legs. Be sure to keep your valuables protected if you plan to bring them along (at your discretion).

What you might see: seals, penguins, dolphins, whales, sunfish, and a myriad of marine life. Squint into the distance and you’ll see Chapman’s Peak from shore.

What to bring: a jacket or warm top in case the wind picks up, a change of clothes, a swimming costume, a towel, sunblock, a water bottle, and a keen sense of adventure.
